Day01
Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi as you travel towards the Great Rift Valley and Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy the scenic journey through the countryside before arriving at the park. After entering Lake Nakuru, embark on a game drive exploring the park’s diverse landscapes around the lake and surrounding woodland. Keep watch for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks and other wildlife. The park is also an excellent bird watching destination, with numerous species found around the lake and its surrounding habitats. After the game drive, proceed to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day02
Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and continue towards the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley and Narok County before reaching the Mara region. After arrival, have lunch and prepare for your first game drive in the reserve. Explore the open savannah in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. As the afternoon light softens, continue enjoying the wildlife before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full-Day Exploration of Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Begin early when wildlife is particularly active and venture across the expansive savannah plains in search of predators and large herbivore herds. The Mara is renowned for its excellent wildlife viewing, including the Big Five and large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve before continuing your afternoon exploration. Depending on the season, you may also witness dramatic wildlife activity associated with the Great Migration. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Masai Mara to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, leave the Masai Mara and begin the long journey towards Amboseli National Park. The route takes you through changing landscapes and rural communities as you travel across southern Kenya. After arriving in the Amboseli area, proceed to your accommodation for check-in and relaxation. If time permits, you can enjoy an afternoon game drive, giving you your first opportunity to explore the park and look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife. Amboseli is particularly famous for its elephant herds and dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 5: Full-Day Exploration of Amboseli National Park
Dedicate the day to exploring Amboseli National Park. Start with an early morning game drive when wildlife is active and the possibility of clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro is often better. Explore the park’s open plains, swamps and woodland areas while searching for large elephant herds, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous bird species. Continue exploring during the afternoon, visiting different areas of the park for varied wildlife encounters and photographic opportunities. The day provides plenty of time to appreciate Amboseli’s wildlife and spectacular scenery before returning to your accommodation in the evening.

Day 6: Amboseli to Emali SGR Station, Train to Mombasa and Transfer to Diani Beach
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and transfer by road to Emali SGR Station. From Emali, board the Madaraka Express train towards Mombasa. The train journey offers a comfortable way to transition from the safari landscapes of southern Kenya to the Indian Ocean coast. On arrival in Mombasa, meet your driver and continue by road to Diani Beach. Settle into your beach accommodation and spend the remainder of the day relaxing after the journey.

Day 7: Mombasa Beach Experience
Enjoy a relaxed day along the Kenyan coast. Spend the morning on the beach, swimming in the warm Indian Ocean waters or simply relaxing on the white sands. You may also choose from a range of coastal activities such as snorkeling, diving, a dhow experience or exploring Mombasa’s coastal attractions. Later in the day, enjoy more time by the beach and take in the beautiful coastal atmosphere before returning to your accommodation for your final night.

Day 8: Mombasa to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey from Mombasa back to Nairobi. Depending on your travel arrangements, you can travel by train or another suitable transfer option. Arrive in Nairobi and proceed to your hotel, airport or preferred drop-off point, marking the end of your 8-day Kenya safari and beach holiday.
