Signature Safari

On arrival in Uganda, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to Kibale National Park. The drive takes you through green countryside and small trading centers, giving you a first impression of rural Uganda. In the afternoon, you head for the Bigodi Wetland walk, a community-run project that supports conservation and local livelihoods. The trail passes through swamp vegetation and farmlands where you can spot monkeys, birds, butterflies, and learn about medicinal plants. This walk also introduces you to the culture of the surrounding villages, making it both educational and enjoyable. Afterward, you check into your lodge near Kibale, enjoy dinner, and prepare for chimpanzee trekking the next day. Overnight stay in Kibale ensures you are close to the park headquarters for an early start.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The cool hours are ideal for spotting wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and large herds of Uganda kob. Lucky visitors may also see hyenas or leopards. You then proceed to the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions that rest in fig trees during the day. This rare sight makes Ishasha one of the highlights of the park. After lunch, you continue the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through rolling hills and rural villages. Arriving in Bwindi by evening, you check into your lodge, enjoy dinner, and rest in preparation for gorilla trekking the next day. Overnight stay in Bwindi ensures proximity to the park headquarters for an early briefing.

This day is dedicated to exploring Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s deepest lakes. You take a canoe ride to visit several islands, each with its own history and cultural significance. Popular stops include Punishment Island, where unmarried girls were once abandoned, and Bwama Island, known for its community projects. Along the way, you enjoy views of terraced hills, local villages, and birdlife such as kingfishers and herons. Activities may include swimming, hiking around the lake, or interacting with local communities to learn about their traditions. The calm waters and fresh air make this a relaxing yet engaging experience. In the evening, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, enjoying the tranquility of the lake before heading back to Entebbe the next day.
