Arrive in the Samburu region in time for lunch before proceeding for an afternoon game drive, depending on your arrival time. Samburu is known for its semi-arid landscapes, acacia woodlands, and the Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year. During your game drive, look out for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. During your morning game drive, search for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, while elephants and other herbivores may be seen moving through the bush or gathering along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is particularly famous for its rare northern species, including Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, and Beisa oryx. After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve before proceeding to Buffalo Springs National Reserve, located across the Ewaso Nyiro River. The two reserves form part of the same wildlife ecosystem, making this an excellent opportunity to explore another section of northern Kenya's wilderness. Buffalo Springs is characterized by open savannah, doum palm groves, natural springs, and striking rocky landscapes. The reserve supports a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes, and Somali ostriches. You may also spot gerenuks feeding on shrubs while standing on their hind legs, a distinctive behavior that makes them particularly fascinating to observe. Enjoy a game drive through the reserve, exploring its different habitats and searching for wildlife along the river and near the springs. After your exploration, proceed to your accommodation for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Day04
Day 4: Samburu National Reserve to Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, depart from the Samburu region and drive south towards Aberdare National Park, enjoying the changing scenery as you leave the dry northern landscapes behind. The journey takes you through Kenya's countryside, with views of farms, rural communities, and the lush highlands surrounding the Aberdare mountain range. Upon arrival, explore the park according to your arrival time and accommodation arrangements. Aberdare is known for its dense forests, mist-covered mountains, waterfalls, bamboo zones, and rich biodiversity. The park provides a different safari experience from Samburu, with forest-dwelling wildlife and cooler mountain surroundings. Animals found here include elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, and various primates. With luck, you may also spot the elusive bongo antelope or other rare forest species. Depending on your chosen accommodation, you may enjoy wildlife viewing from a lodge overlooking a waterhole.
