Day01

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, your safari guide welcomes you and gives a short briefing about the trip. You then drive through Kigali city, passing modern buildings and lively neighborhoods before heading north to Volcanoes National Park. The drive takes about two to three hours, with views of rolling hills and rural life along the way. Depending on arrival time, you may stop at a local market or viewpoint before reaching your lodge near the park. This first day is kept light to allow you to rest after your flight and prepare for trekking activities. Dinner is served at the lodge, and you spend the evening relaxing in a calm environment surrounded by the volcanic landscape.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Park

After breakfast, you head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing on golden monkey trekking. Rangers explain the rules and lead you into the bamboo forest where these playful primates live. The trek can take between one and three hours depending on their movement. Once found, you spend an hour watching them feed and jump through bamboo stalks. After the trek, you return to the lodge for lunch before starting the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. The cross-border transfer takes about five to six hours, passing through hills, tea plantations, and villages. Day03

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi with Batwa Cultural Experience

This day is the highlight of your safari. You wake early and head to Bwindi park headquarters for a briefing. Rangers explain trekking rules such as keeping distance from gorillas and moving quietly. The trek can last one to six hours depending on the gorilla family’s location. Once found, you spend one hour observing silverbacks, mothers, and playful young ones. After trekking, you receive a certificate and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you visit the Batwa community for a cultural experience. The Batwa share stories of their forest life, traditional dances, and hunting skills. This activity gives you insight into local heritage and supports community projects. Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Game Drive

On arrival, you check into your lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon, you head out for a game drive in the park. Queen Elizabeth is known for diverse wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and tree-climbing lions. Day 5: Kasenyi Plains Game Drive with Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel

You start the day with an early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains, the best area for spotting lions hunting antelopes. The open grasslands also host elephants, buffaloes, and many bird species. After the drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast and rest. In the afternoon, you go for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat ride offers close views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes along the shores. You also see large flocks of birds including kingfishers and pelicans. Day06

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kalinzu and Return to Kigali

After breakfast, you drive to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for chimpanzee trekking. Rangers brief you before leading the trek into the forest. The trek takes one to three hours depending on chimp movement. Once located, you spend an hour watching them feed, groom, and play in the trees. After trekking, you start the drive back to Kigali, which takes about six to seven hours. You pass through towns and countryside, stopping for lunch along the way. On arrival in Kigali, your guide drops you at the airport or hotel depending on your departure plans.
