After an early breakfast, proceed to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park headquarters for a briefing before starting your golden monkey tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, hike through bamboo forests in search of the rare and playful golden monkeys, known for their energetic movements and striking golden-orange fur. Once located, spend one hour observing their feeding, grooming, and social interactions in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before checking out. Begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through terraced hills, volcanic landscapes, and rural communities of southwestern Uganda. Arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon, check in at your lodge, and relax in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, head to the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a guided nature walk to Munyaga Waterfalls. This scenic trail offers an easy yet rewarding forest experience, allowing you to explore Bwindi’s lower rainforest while enjoying its rich biodiversity. Along the way, you may encounter birds, butterflies, monkeys, and unique plant species while learning about the ecosystem from your guide. The highlight of the walk is reaching the beautiful Munyaga Waterfalls, where cool mist and forest sounds create a peaceful atmosphere ideal for relaxation and photography. The walk also provides insight into local community conservation efforts and traditional uses of forest resources. After the activity, return to your lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay in Bwindi.
