Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Hike Dian Fossey Tomb
After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. Guided through bamboo forests and mountain slopes, you will search for one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing their behavior and social interactions in their natural habitat. After returning from the trek and enjoying lunch, continue with a hike to the Dian Fossey Tomb and Karisoke Research Center site. The trail passes through beautiful forest vegetation and offers insight into the life and work of Dian Fossey, whose conservation efforts helped protect mountain gorillas from extinction. Day03
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking and Cultural Tour
Begin the day with breakfast before heading back to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking. These rare and energetic primates are known for their striking golden-orange fur and playful nature. Accompanied by experienced guides, walk through the bamboo forests where the monkeys live and spend time observing their feeding habits, movements, and social behavior. After breakfast, depart for Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s largest freshwater lakes and one of Rwanda’s most beautiful destinations. Upon arrival, spend the day enjoying the relaxing atmosphere along the lakeshore. You may take a boat ride to nearby islands, visit local fishing communities, or simply enjoy the peaceful water views and cool breeze. The lake is surrounded by green hills that create stunning scenery and excellent photography opportunities. Visitors can also walk along the waterfront, relax at the beach, or engage with local residents to learn more about life around the lake. A lakeside lunch adds to the enjoyable experience before continuing with more exploration during the afternoon. Later, return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay beside the tranquil waters of Lake Kivu.

Day 5: Kigali City Tour and Departure
Enjoy breakfast and check out before beginning your journey back to Kigali. Upon arrival in the capital city, embark on a guided city tour that introduces you to Rwanda’s modern development, culture, and history. Visit key landmarks including local markets, art centers, craft shops, and the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a deeper understanding of the country’s journey and resilience. You will also have an opportunity to purchase souvenirs and interact with local people while exploring different parts of the city.
