Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide who will brief you before beginning the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. The drive takes you through central Uganda’s towns, traditional villages and the scenic country side with opportunities to observe daily life along the route. Stop at the Uganda equator for photographs and continue with lunch before proceeding through the rolling hills of western Uganda. Arrive at the park in the late afternoon and check-in to your lodge overlooking the surroundings wilderness. Spend the evening relaxing as you prepare for the following day’s wildlife activities. Dinner and overnight stay at your safari lodge near the park or within.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Wake up early for breakfast before heading into the Kisenyi plains for a morning game drive. This area is kwon for its rich wildlife and offers opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas and with luck lions and leopards. Your guide will explain the behavior of different animals and the unique ecosystems that support them. Return to the lodge for lunch before setting out for an afternoon boat cruise along the kazinga channel, the natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. Watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and numerous bird species gathering along the shoreline. The cruise also offers excellent photography opportunities before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura Gorge and Maramagambo Forest Walk

After an early breakfast, drive to Kyambura gorge for a briefing before beginning your guided chimpanzee trekking experience. The forested gorge is a home to habituated chimpanzee community as well as several monkey species, birds and unique plant life. Spend time searching for the chimpanzees while learning about their behavior and the conservation efforts protecting the fragile habitat. After lunch, continue to Maramagambo forest for a guided nature walk through one of the Uganda’s largest tropical forests. Visit the famous bat cave, where thousands of bats occupy the rocky chambers as you look for pythons that feed on these bats. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kampala, City Tour and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Enjoy breakfast before checking out and beginning your return journey to Kampala. Along the way have an en route lunch before arriving in Kampala. Upon arrival, take a guided city tour to explore some of the capital cultural, religious and historical attractions including the Uganda museum, Uganda martyrs shrines, independence monument, Nakasero market, Gadhafi national Mosque among others which offers panoramic views of the city. Learn about Uganda’s history, traditions and modern urban life and then continue to Entebbe where you may enjoy a brief stop at the botanical gardens or the shores of Lake Victoria if time allows before your scheduled flight. Your guide will then transfer you to Entebbe international airport marking the end of your safari
