Wake up early for breakfast before heading to kibale forest national park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking guidelines. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, venture into the tropical rainforests in search for habituated chimpanzees while spotting other primates, colorful birds and unique forest plants. Spend one hour observing the chimpanzees as they feed, socialize and move through the forest canopy. Return to the lodge for lunch before setting out to explore the nearby crater lakes region. A guided hike leads through lush vegetation to elevated viewpoints overlooking several volcanic crater lakes surrounded by tea plantations and rural villages. After breakfast, depart kibale forest and drive towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing scenic landscapes, crater lakes and s mall communities along the way. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading to kazinga channel for an afternoon boat cruise. This natural waterway linking Lake George and Lake Edward supports an impressive concentration of wildlife. Watch large pods of hippos cooling in the water while crocodiles bask along the shoreline. Elephants, buffaloes and various antelope species frequently visit the channel to drink, creating excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Bird enthusiasts can also spot kingfishers African fish eagles, pelicans and many other water birds. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive, Kikorongo Equator Monument and Transfer to Kampala

Rise early for a morning game drive across the kasenyi plains, one of the best wildlife viewing areas in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Search for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas and with some luck lions beginning their day. Your guide will share information about the parks ecosystems and wildlife as you explore different tracks across the savannah. After the game drive, begin your journey back to Kampala, stopping at the Kikorongo Equator Monument for photographs and a short break. Continue through western Uganda with lunch en route while enjoying views of farms, plantations and local communities. Arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening, bringing your safari to an end.
