Your tour begins with an early morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe before travelling southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive offers spectacular views of Uganda’s diverse landscapes, including rolling hills, fertile farmlands, traditional villages, and bustling trading centers. Stop for lunch at a selected restaurant before continuing through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, known for their terraced hills and cool climate. As you approach Bwindi, the dense rainforest becomes visible against the surrounding mountains, introducing one of Africa’s most important conservation areas. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, check in, and spend the evening relaxing while preparing for the following day’s gorilla trekking activity. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge near the forest.

Day02

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing conducted by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, enter the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may last several hours depending on the gorillas’ location and movements, taking you through thick vegetation, steep slopes, and forest trails. Once the gorillas are located, spend one hour observing their feeding habits, social interactions, grooming behavior, and family structure from a safe distance. Your guides will provide interpretation about gorilla conservation and the unique ecology of Bwindi Forest. Return to the lodge for lunch, relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful rainforest environment.

Day 3: Long Walk to Rushura Hill (Muzabagiro Loop)

Day 3: Long Walk to Rushura Hill (Muzabagiro Loop)

Following breakfast, set out on a guided nature walk along the Rushura Hill (Muzabagiro Loop) trail, one of Bwindi’s most rewarding hiking experiences. Accompanied by an experienced guide, walk through sections of the rainforest while learning about the park’s flora, fauna, and ongoing conservation efforts. The trail gradually climbs to Rushura Hill, offering sweeping views of Bwindi Forest, the surrounding valleys, and, on clear days, the Virunga Volcanoes stretching across Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Along the route, look out for birds, butterflies, forest monkeys, and colorful vegetation that thrive within this unique ecosystem. Pause at selected viewpoints for photography before returning to the lodge in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala or Entebbe

Day 4: Transfer Back to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Travel through the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda, passing terraced hillsides, cultivated farmland, local markets, and traditional homesteads that highlight the region’s rich cultural heritage. Enjoy a lunch stop at a selected restaurant before continuing the drive through central Uganda. Along the route, there will be an opportunity to stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping, and a brief explanation of the geographical significance of this famous landmark. Continue towards your final destination, arriving in the late afternoon or evening. Your driver-guide will transfer you to your hotel, residence, or Entebbe International Airport, bringing your journey through Bwindi’s rainforest and mountain landscapes to a close
