Lunch is taken en route, and you continue towards Bwindi where gorilla trekking is done. On arrival, you check into your lodge near the park and rest after the long transfer. This is the highlight of your safari. You wake early and head to Bwindi park headquarters in Rushaga for a briefing. Rangers explain trekking rules such as keeping distance from gorillas and moving quietly. The trek can last one to six hours depending on the gorilla family’s location. Once found, you spend an hour observing silverbacks, mothers, and playful young ones. After trekking, you receive a certificate and return to the lodge for lunch.
