Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
On arrival at Entebbe or Kigali International Airport, your driver-guide welcomes you and begins the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes six to nine hours depending on the route, with stops for lunch and short breaks along the way. You pass through rolling hills, tea plantations, and villages, offering glimpses of Uganda’s countryside. By evening, you check into a lodge near Bwindi, where you can relax and prepare for the gorilla trek. This day is mainly for travel, ensuring you are well-positioned for the highlight of your birthday safari.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking, Lake Bunyonyi Experience and Cake Cut
After an early breakfast, you report to Bwindi headquarters for a briefing. Rangers guide you into the forest to track a gorilla family, a trek that can last one to six hours depending on their movement. Once found, you spend one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After trekking, you receive a certificate and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, about two hours away. Known for its calm waters and islands, the lake offers a peaceful setting to celebrate your birthday.
