This twelve days journey through Uganda explores a variety of landscapes, wildlife habitats, and some of the country’s most popular national parks. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional driver-guide, who will transfer you to your selected hotel in Entebbe or Kampala at an additional cost. The transfer introduces Uganda as you travel through the city surroundings to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time and flight schedule, the rest of the day will be free for you to relax, recover from your journey, or enjoy the hotel facilities. Your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the upcoming safari; including departure times, planned activities, and important travel information to ensure you are well prepared. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and settle in for a restful overnight stay before beginning your Ugandan adventure the following morning.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino Tracking and Top of the Falls

After an early breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, travelling north through Uganda’s countryside with views of rural communities, farmland, and roadside markets. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided white rhino tracking experience led by experienced rangers. Walk through the sanctuary while observing southern white rhinos in their natural habitat and learning about conservation efforts aimed at restoring the species in Uganda. After the activity, enjoy lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile squeezes through a narrow seven-meter gorge before plunging approximately forty-three meters below, creating a dramatic display of rushing water and mist. Afterwards, transfer to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and a comfortable overnight stay

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Victoria Nile Boat Cruise

Begin the day with an early morning game drive across the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the open savannah while searching for elephants, Rothschild's giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, oribis, and numerous bird species. Your guide will provide insights into the park's ecosystems and wildlife behavior throughout the drive. Return to the lodge for lunch before heading to Paraa for an afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile. Cruise towards the base of Murchison Falls while observing hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many aquatic birds gathered along the riverbanks. Enjoy excellent wildlife viewing and photography before returning to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart your lodge and begin the scenic journey southwest towards Kibale National Park, one of Uganda’s most important rainforest destinations. The drive takes you through diverse landscapes, including open savannah, fertile agricultural fields, tea plantations, and the beautiful Crater Lake region around Fort Portal. Enjoy the changing scenery as you pass through rural communities, local markets, and rolling hills that characterize western Uganda. Stop for lunch at a selected restaurant before continuing towards the forest area. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, check in, and take time to relax while enjoying the peaceful surroundings near Kibale Forest. Your guide will provide information about the following day’s activities as you prepare for chimpanzee tracking. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Crater Lake Mountain Biking

Following an early breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing before entering the tropical rainforest for chimpanzee trekking. Accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, search for habituated chimpanzees while encountering other primates, colorful birds, butterflies, and indigenous tree species. Once the chimpanzees are located, spend one hour observing their natural behavior. Return to the lodge for lunch before heading out for an afternoon mountain biking experience through the scenic Crater Lake region. Cycle along designated trails that pass tea plantations, villages, volcanic crater lakes, and rolling hills while enjoying beautiful views of western Uganda. Return to the lodge later in the day for dinner and overnight stay

After breakfast, depart Kibale National Park for Queen Elizabeth National Park through the scenic Crater Lake region. Enjoy spectacular views of rolling hills, volcanic craters, tea estates, and rural settlements before arriving at the park. Check in at your lodge and enjoy lunch before proceeding for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George supports large populations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water bird species. The cruise provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography from the water. Return to your lodge in the evening to relax before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and the Ishasha Sector

Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. After breakfast, check out and continue your journey south through Queen Elizabeth National Park towards the Ishasha sector, internationally recognized for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the fig tree woodlands while searching for lions resting in the branches of large fig trees, a behavior for which this region is well known. Keep an eye out for elephants, topis, buffaloes, and other wildlife before checking in at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay in the Ishasha sector.

Day 8: Game Drive, Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, enjoy another morning game drive in the Ishasha sector before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Travel through the scenic highlands of southwestern Uganda, passing terraced hillsides, traditional villages, and beautiful mountain landscapes. Depending on your schedule, continue to nearby Lake Mutanda for an optional canoeing experience across its calm waters. Paddle between small islands while enjoying panoramic views of the Virunga Volcanoes and surrounding countryside. Later, proceed to your lodge near Bwindi, check in, and relax while preparing for the following day's gorilla trekking activity. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced rangers, hike through the rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may last several hours depending on the gorillas' movements and the terrain. Once the gorillas are located, spend one hour observing their feeding habits, family interactions, and daily behavior while learning about ongoing conservation efforts. Return to the lodge after the trek for lunch and relaxation. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure while enjoying the forest surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and canoeing

After breakfast, depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and continue your journey to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic freshwater lake surrounded by terraced hills and numerous islands. The drive offers beautiful views of southwestern Uganda’s landscapes, including cultivated hillsides, local communities, and winding roads through the highlands. Upon arrival, check in at your lakeside lodge and enjoy lunch while taking in views of the calm waters and surrounding scenery. In the afternoon, take part in a guided boat ride across the lake, exploring some of its islands while learning about their history, traditions, and importance to nearby communities. The peaceful waters also provide opportunities for birdwatching and photography. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay overlooking Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Boat Cruise

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Boat Cruise

After breakfast, depart Lake Bunyonyi and begin your journey northwards to Lake Mburo National Park through the scenic Ankole region. The drive passes through rolling hills, open countryside, traditional homesteads, and cattle ranches where you can observe the famous long-horned Ankole cattle. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel through local communities and agricultural areas before arriving at the park. Check in at your lodge and have lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The calm waters provide opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes along the shoreline, and a variety of water birds, including African fish eagles and kingfishers. After the cruise, return to your lodge to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night within the peaceful surroundings of the park.

Day 12: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe

Begin the day with an early morning game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, exploring the acacia woodlands, open grasslands, and wetlands in search of zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, and other wildlife species. The morning hours provide excellent opportunities for viewing animals as they move through the park’s diverse habitats. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and checkout before starting the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy lunch en route and make a stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs, souvenir shopping, and a brief explanation of its geographical importance. Continue through the countryside, passing villages and farmlands before arriving at your final destination. Your driver-guide will transfer you to your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, concluding your journey through Uganda’s natural landscapes and wildlife areas.
