Day01
Arrival in Kigali
Touch down in Rwanda’s vibrant capital. You will be welcomed by your private guide and transferred to your luxury boutique hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the city or relaxing by the pool to shake off the jet lag.
Day02-03
Journey to the Volcanoes
A scenic drive takes you north through the Land of a Thousand Hills to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. On Day 3, embark on your first thrilling gorilla trek, an incredibly moving wildlife encounter.
Day04
Golden Monkeys & Community
Trek into the bamboo forests to find the playful and endangered golden monkeys. In the afternoon, visit a local community project supported by the lodge to learn about the conservation efforts protecting the great apes.
Day05-06
Second Trek & Reflection
Head out for a second gorilla trek to visit a different family group. The varied dynamics of different families offer a completely new experience. Spend your final full day reflecting on the journey from the sweeping terrace of your lodge.
Day07
Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast with views of the Virunga volcanoes before your private transfer back to Kigali for your onward journey home.
